The Tioga Pass Road extends about 59 miles (94km) from its junction with the Big Oak Flat Road on the west side of Yosemite National Park to Lee Vining on the east side of the Sierra Nevada, where it ends at US 395. The road’s mileage to Tioga Pass itself, which marks the boundary between Yosemite National Park and the Inyo National Forest, is about 47 miles (75km). Mileage from the junction of Big Oak Flat Road and Northside Drive in Yosemite Valley to where Big Oak Flat Road connects with the Tioga Pass Road is 10 miles (16km). All mileages in this chapter are given from the start of Tioga Pass Road at its west end.
